To put it simply, I'm a dream chaser. As old dreams become real the new ones get bigger. I find inspiration all around me and have a whole lot of fun discovering what I can pull off. Creating, no matter the project, is such a thrill -- to imagine, pull, push, mash, mix and watch as it comes to life is a process that keeps me coming back for more. In many ways, this shines through in how I go about creating not just art but the life I want to live.

Art has been a part of me for as long as I can remember. I was the child that happily sat in the backyard for hours painting summer flowers with my acrylic kit, after promising mom not to get any paint on my good clothes. Every now & then memories in the basement of our house, painting alongside my dad with his big easel and abstract canvas wash over me. I find myself returning to my artistic side more and more frequently. Be it through digital media, watercolor, acrylic, or resin mediums, it's always rewarding.

I picked up volleyball in 2011 and nobody has been able to get me off the court since. I fell in love with the game and it loved me back. The sport has shaped who I am today and continues to impact me in ways I never knew a sport could. I finished my last season as a Badger Volleyball player at the University of Wisconsin [#18] in 2022 where I have been a part of 4 B1G titles & 3 Final Fours including our 2021 National Championship win. My experience was nothing short of incredible, Madison will always have a very special place in my heart. This summer I trained with Team USA as a player on the 2023 Women's National Team roster, winning gold in the Dominican Republic. I currently play professionally in the United States with Athletes Unlimited & Pro Volleyball Federation's Omaha Supernovas!

Home is in Virginia Beach, Virginia. While the Midwest has been a great college experience & continues to be home through my professional career, I'm a born and raised beach kid & the waves of the ocean always call. Growing up our favorite family activity was a night spent boating on the Linkhorn or the Chesapeake Bay... not much has changed.  I am a big fan of the sky -- constantly chasing sunrises & sunsets. When I am home you can catch me biking to the 1st street jetty dawn patrol often, usually with my dog Max, watching the day's first surfers catch whatever waves Virginia Beach has to offer that morning. [ Some of my favorites inspired this collection ]

 

While the water will always be home, over the years the mountain & desert landscapes have become another favorite. I'm up for just about any adventure, especially if it includes a waterfall & miles of backcountry. When I get a break from training I scratch the travel itch. Over the past few years, I've visited multiple countries & made several road trips spanning from a week to a month around the U.S. camping in Glacier National Park, Idaho, Grand Tetons, Badlands, Moab, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Mojave desert, Yosemite, Big Bend & the Adirondack Mountains to name a few. It was on one of my travels to Kauai, Hawaii that I first saw ocean epoxy resin art while walking through local galleries & was quickly hooked on its incredible resemblance to water. 

​

With all that being said, I am really just passionate about what I do & the opportunities life offers if you're willing to look.
